Accommodation for hiking in Morocco and the Atlas Mountains
There are many different types of accommodation for trekking and hiking in Morocco. Depending on the trek you choose (and the season), we will use guesthouses, gites, tents and mountain refuges. Please contact us with any questions regarding the type of accommodation that you would like for your trip or if you have any special requirements.
Also, please note that we can arrange accommodation before or after your stay in Marrakech.
Dar Ouassaggou in Imlil
One place we use a lot is Dar Ouassaggou. A warm welcome awaits you at this small comfortable guest house with wonderful views. Located just outside the village of Imlil, the riad is full of hand made furniture from the area and offers you very comfortable and modern facilities (including air-conditioning, WiFi etc.). It is an ideal base for walkers and adventurers hiking in Morocco.
Dar Oussagou comprises:
- 13 pleasant rooms with views of Berber villages, walnut groves and mountains
- Terrace with panoramic views in all directions
- Access to hammam on site (on request 4 hours)
- Salon with fireplace, a cosy retreat for winter evenings
- Breakfast, bed linen, towel and luggage rooms are all included in the cost
- The riad comes highly recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide 2011
